Job Description

Danfoss Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for off-highway and marine markets. A business unit of Danfoss, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels, based on its unique synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet (SRPM) technology.

Danfoss Editron has assembled an award-winning team to work on the technologies that will enable the world of tomorrow to do more with less. EDITRON is the new name for the complete electric drivetrain system developed by the company. It is controlled by powerful software that optimizes each individual component of the electric or hybrid drivetrain, leading to far more intelligent management of power distribution in order to deliver maximum efficiencies for the end user.

Danfoss Editron is looking for two Hardware Engineers who will participate in product development of new products and sustaining the current product portfolio. There is more than one way to this position, you can be in the beginning of your career or already have more solid work experience. If you have many years of experience there is a possibility to take on more responsibilities, as our organization is rapidly growing.

Job Responsibilities

If you take the challenge as our new Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Electrical hardware design for the development and productization of our products.
  • Using hardware design and simulation tools to make designs, structures, and documentation.
  • Technical documentation as per Danfoss quality standards
Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have at least a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. We expect you have a few years’ experience in product development. If you have experience with Power Electronics or from the automotive industry this will be an advantage. Furthermore, you have some experience in using hardware design tools and PDM systems. You have good written and spoken communication skills in English but also beneficial is if you have Finnish language skills. We appreciate fresh approach to designing and developing products to be competitive in the evolving market.

As a person, you have a high degree of integrity and positive outlook to all tasks. You have an innovative, analytical and solutions focused mindset. You are good with working well in teams and with different stakeholders. Your approach is proactive, and you take responsibility of your own actions.
