Are you good at finding best economical and technical solutions for the customer in technology-based project business?

We’re currently looking for Sales Manager for EMEA Business Line’s Energy business to act as a one point of contact and to lead and co-ordinate Valmet business towards designated customers in Finland. You will also support named customers in Europe. This position is located in Lappeenranta, but Vantaa or Tampere is negotiable.

You have solid understanding of Power Plant and Recovery Technology and have respective product knowledge. Your key priority is to act as the key point of contact for Power Plant, and Recovery plant clients in related industry, customer satisfaction and high-quality service.

With your strong technical background in Energy Industry and with thorough understanding of customer needs, you will successfully convert the customer needs into a cost competitive solution. You have the lead in developing and executing sales plans to improve customer’s processes and to increase competitiveness but you’re also responsible for ensuring the customer feedback on offering is taken into Valmet’s offering development process.

Your tasks will include

  • Responsibility of selling and executing the business within Valmet Scope, including all aspects of customer relationship and satisfaction management.
  • Support our customers by identifying their needs and responding quickly with the solutions to improve their processes and results
  • Develop and execute appropriate Valmet Sales Strategy
  • Develop sales, business, actions and marketing plans
  • To act as nominated team leader for dedicated key customers
  • Develop additional sales activities with operations.

What We Are Expecting From You

To be successful in this role, you need

  • Solid technical background (Bachelor/ Master) in Power Plant and Recovery technology
  • At least 4 years’ experience in various sales, project management or related positions
  • Wide understanding of Energy/Pulp Industry
  • Willingness to travel in Finland and in Europe
  • Experience in communication and commercial discussions
  • Awareness of contract law with hands-on experience negotiating complex project contracts
  • Good experience of Customer Value Chain
  • High level of commitment, strong working capacity
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English, other languages are an asset.
