We are now looking for a (Senior) Quality Engineer to join our Marine Power Engine, Business Line Delivery Centre Vaasa (DCV) QHSE-team of five persons, working for a better future.

The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland.

About The Position

In this position, your work will include:
  • Supplier quality development co-operation with Supplier Development (SD) engineer and supplier
  • Supplier notification ownership, corrective action follow up and evaluation and approval
  • Supplier quality monitoring and development need specifying
  • NCDR notification handling and use decision
  • Initial sample inspection coordination and reporting
  • Supplier Quality Assurance quality instruction and process creation and updating
  • 100-day supplier development program action specifying and implementation
  • Support and manage (Marine Power Solutions) QHSE activities
  • Quality, environmental and safety culture development
  • Initiate supplier process development activities based on measured performance to secure first time right timing

You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from college quality engineers and SD -engineers. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in knowledge and understanding of Quality, health, environment and safety management objectives, tasks and methods to manage them and experience from working with Experience of management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001) and internal auditing.

As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from Manufacturing and
  • Development oriented positive mindset
  • Good capability to negotiations internally and externally with strong skills to drive issues to the final solutions
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Relevant technical education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy industry, solid technical knowledge and manufacturing understanding.

In this role, some travel is requiredto meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
